The Fab Four return home to congratulate Oxfam donation winners after their hugely successful 1964 U.S. winter tour

Vintage glossy 3.5 x 5.5 photo of four schoolgirls dressed as the Beatles for a play at the St. Helen's School in Northwood, Middlesex in 1964, signed on the reverse in blue ballpoint, "Paul McCartney," "George Harrison (B.A.)," and "John Lennon," and in black ink, "Ringo Starr." Reverse of card is initialed "RB" and dated in another hand, "17. 2. 64." In fine condition, with light staining to the top edge.

Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, which states that the signatures were obtained at a charity dinner at Brasenose College in Oxford, and that the photo was taken on February 17, 1964, the date of the play and just one day after the Beatles made their second appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show at the Deauville Hotel in Miami.

Also included is a letter of provenance from the brother of the original recipient: "I was given this set of Beatles autographs from 1964 by my sister (whose initials are RB, Rebecca Baxter). She met the Beatles through her school, St. Helen's School, Northwood, Middlesex in 1964. The school had entered a schools competition to see which school could donate the most amount of money to Oxfam over a set time frame. My sister's school won and one of the prizes was for the head girl (my sister) and the Headmistress to have dinner with the Beatles…She took along some photos of a play the school had performed featuring the girls as Beatles, hence the front photo."
