Description

American woman suffragist, reformer, and writer (1833-1913) who served as president of the New York City Woman Suffrage League. ALS, one page, 8.25 x 11, New York City Woman Suffrage League letterhead, January 14, 1899. Letter to "Mrs. Thomas," in full: "Enclosed you will find a leaflet which may offer some suggestions for legislation in your state, where the time is not right for suffrage, some of these other measures may be pushed with good effect." In fine condition. This is the first autograph of Blake we have ever offered.
