Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15 x 9.25, December 2, 1823. Monroe grants James T. Walker a plot of land "in the town of Tuscaloosa and state of Alabama, containing Fifty hundredths of an acre." Signed at the conclusion in black ink by President Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. Lower left corner retains the original white paper seal. In very good condition, with overall rippling, multiple vertical folds, and an old mounting strip on the back of the left edge.
