Letter to French opera manager and publisher Louis-Désiré Véron, in part (translated): "I need a certificate from you with the following words: I confirm hereby that Mr. Dumas has to supply to me with still 32 or 33 volumes for the fulfillment of his contract. For these volumes, which I pay currently 2500 Frs. to him or his authorized person, further 3500 Frs. in the case of supply…will be paid to Mr. Dumas." In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, trimmed edges, and light overall creasing.
