Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R,” one page, 13.25 x 9.25, June 25, 1806. King George III appoints Charles Rice Davis as ensign in a "Regiment of Foot commanded by our trusty and welbeloved Lieutenant General Sir James Henry Craig K. R." Signed at the head by King George III and countersigned at the foot by Viscount Castlereagh. The white paper seal affixed to the left side remains intact. In fine condition, with skipping to the signature.
