Description

Magnificent vintage matte-finish 7.25 x 9 portrait of General George S. Patton posing outdoors in his four-star uniform, signed and inscribed in fountain pen "To Col. Jimmy Gault, from his old comrade, G. S. Patton, Jr.” Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 14.25 x 16.5. In very good to fine condition, with light rippling, and a horizontal crease that touches Patton's left arm. Brigadier Sir James Frederick Gault (1902-1977) was a British brigadier and military assistant to General Dwight Eisenhower in the UK during World War II.
