Superb color semi-glossy 7 x 9.25 close-up photo of the Apollo 11 lunar plaque attached to the ladder on the landing gear strut of the Lunar Module Eagle, affixed to the original 10 x 13 mount, which is signed in the lower border in black felt tip, “Neil Armstrong,” “M. Collins,” and “Buzz Aldrin.” The upper and left borders are signed and inscribed in ballpoint by their respective wives: Janet Armstrong, Patricia Collins, and Joan Aldrin. In very good to fine condition, with a stain to the lower left border (extending into the image), and a smaller stain to the upper right edge.
Originates from the personal collection of longtime NASA employee Robert B. 'Stretch' Flanagan, a Senior Security Specialist who accompanied the Apollo astronauts on their post-flight goodwill world tours. He was nicknamed ‘Stretch’ on account of his 6´6″ height.
