Very rare limited edition color 13 x 11.5 ‘printing error’ miniature lithograph of a 1973 oil painting by Carl Barks entitled ‘Time Out for Fun,' Gold Plate Edition numbered PP 44, printed in 12 colors on Opalesque Keramique by the Black Box of Chicago, playfully signed twice in the lower border in pencil by Barks. The scene depicts Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, and Dewey, Huey, and Louie having a grand old time in Uncle Scrooge’s prized money bin. The lithograph has been produced under license from The Walt Disney Company by Another Rainbow Publishing, Inc. In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Already a rare edition of 100, this particular twice-signed example is all the more desirable and uncommon due to a printing error that gives a bizarre double or ghost-like quality to the imagery.
