Rare limited edition color 11 x 13.5 miniature lithograph of a 1973 oil painting by Carl Barks entitled ‘The Goose Egg Nugget,' Klondike Edition number 93 of 100, printed in 14 colors on Opalesque Keramique by the Black Box of Chicago, signed in the lower border in pencil by Barks. The scene depicts a young Scrooge McDuck showing off his fabulous gold find in a crowded Dawson saloon. The lithograph has been produced under license from The Walt Disney Company by Another Rainbow Publishing, Inc. In fine condition. The painting was inspired by a scene from his comic book story ‘Back to the Klondike,’ from Uncle Scrooge #2 (1953). Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, which states that this ‘Klondike’ special edition of 100 commemorative prints was issued for the benefit of the Klondike Centennial Society in Dawson Creek, Canada.
