Scarce ALS signed with his given name “Richard Penniman,” one page, 6.75 x 8, penned on the reverse of an application for The Little Richard Fan Club, no date, circa 1960s. Letter to Pat, in full: "Greeting in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, I wish I was able to come down tonight to see you, but cannot come because of Fan Managed and I want to be true to god and everyone else. Pray for me and I will do the same for you. God bless you. Love in Christ." Little Richard writes his address, "3931 Manchester Place River Side, Calif.," and then adds a postscript: "Please don’t Call (thanks)." Included with the letter is a mailing envelope on which Little Richard has written: “To Lucille, With Deepest & Dearest Affection.” And on the inside of the envelope, he adds a partial lyric to the song ‘Lucille,’ which reads: "L-U-C-I-L-L-E!!! Come back where you belong!!!” In overall very good to fine condition, with splitting to the ends of the intersecting folds. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
