Rare vintage concert ticket for Cream’s performance at a Christmas Ball held at the Hull College of Technology, Students Union, in Hull, Yorkshire, England, on December 7, 1966, measuring 6.25 x 4.5 open, signed inside in ink by Eric Clapton, and in ballpoint by Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. The ticket is issued as number “416.” Cream performed twice that evening: from 10:15 PM to 11:00 PM and from 12:15 AM to 1:00 AM. In very good condition, with overall creasing and handling wear, and splitting to the top and bottom of the hinge.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient: “This is to confirm and authenticate the autographs of the members of Cream…which I personally obtained…when they played the Handkerchief Ballroom in Hull…I was introduced to them in the dressing room by the MC for the evening Rickie Dobbs, a local DJ who also played the Marquee. At the time I was in a local band which I suppose qualified me a pass to the backstage. I spoke to each of the band and asked them for their autographs and they readily obliged.”
