Catholic priest (1895-1975) who administered the Last Rites to the mortally wounded Kennedy at Parkland Memorial Hospital. TLS signed “Rev. Oscar L. Huber, C.M.,” one page, 6.25 x 9, Holy Trinity Church letterhead, June 1, 1968. Letter to author Jim Bishop, in part: "I am glad you wrote me before publishing your history. I am inclosing my article entitled: 'Last Moments With President Kennedy' in which you will read that I DID NOT tell any reporter or group of reporters that the President was dead. I did not tell anyone 'he's dead.' Mr. Manchester is responsible for this egregious error, and many other errors. I simply cannot understand how any intelligent man could get the story first hand from me then write as many inaccuracies as did Mr. Manchester. Mr. Bishop, you have my permission to quote any or all of the article: 'Last Moments, etc.' I would be happy if you would include its entirety in tour history. I will stand back of every statement I made in it." In fine condition.
