Accompanied by an ALS from his wife, Jessie Benton Fremont, dated January 22, 1902, transmitting the signature to an autograph collector: "I remember his preparing quite a number of these cards when he was much asked for them, after we came to Los Angeles in eighteen hundred and eighty seven." The original mailing envelope for the letter is included.
