Signer of the Declaration of Independence and a US representative from New York (1734-1821). Manuscript DS, signed “Wm: Floyd,” one page, 6.75 x 8.25, March 12, 1784. Receipt for £24.19.5 paid to him by New York State Treasurer Gerard Bancker per orders of Isaac Roosevelt, Commissioner of Loans, as Floyd had evidently overpaid. In fine condition, with light staining along the left edge from an old mounting remnant on the back.
