Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut (1721-1793) who was the only man to also sign the Articles of Association, the Articles of Confederation, and the US Constitution. Partly-printed DS, signed “Roger Sherman Justice of Peace,” one page, 7.25 x 12, March 2, 1756. Legal document for the sale of a plot of land, partially filled out in Sherman's hand and lengthily endorsed at the conclusion: "Litchfield County, New Milford, March the 2nd 1756, Personally appeared the above named Nathaniel Bostwick, Paul Welch & Joseph Ferris and acknowledged the above written Instrument to be their free act and deed." In fine condition.
