Civil War-dated partly-printed DS, signed “S. P. Chase,” one page, 8 x 10, May 25, 1861. Official acceptance letter from the Treasury Department issued to Nathaniel Tracy of Boston, Massachusetts, which agrees to his offer "for Stock of Loan of 1861, under notice of the 11th inst., of $10,000.00 at the rate of 85 dollars." Signed at the conclusion in ink by Chase. In fine condition, with toning from prior display, and minor edge loss, easily re-matted-out.
