Georgia-born general (1814-1875) in the Confederate States Army, for whom Fort Benning is named. Ink signature, "Henry L. Benning,” on the 5.75 x 9 title page removed from a volume of the 1870 edition of Reports of Decisions in the Supreme Court of the United States. In very good to fine condition, with overall irregular toning.
