Dahlgren,” one page, 5 x 8, September 29, 1861. Written from Washington Navy Yard, a letter to L. Foster, in full: "It will give me pleasure to be able to attend to your request in regard to Nell Alexander." Handsomely double-matted and framed with a portrait and plaque to an overall size of 18.75 x 20.5. In fine condition.
