Description

German composer (1928-2007), widely acknowledged by critics as one of the most important but also controversial composers of the 20th and early 21st centuries. He is best known for his groundbreaking work in electronic music, for introducing controlled chance into serial composition, and for musical spatialization. Uncommon glossy 9.5 x 6.25 photo of Karlheinz Stockhausen, signed and inscribed in pink felt tip, "Für John Buchanan, Stockhausen.” In very good to fine condition, with a light crease passing across his nose, an area of emulsion irregularity to his hairline, and a few light postal impressions.
