Brief handwritten note in red ink, "O.K., G. Bernard Shaw, 4th Feb. 1939" on a TLS addressed to him by Clive Sansom, one page, 8 x 10, Speech Fellowship and Institute letterhead. Sansom's letter, in part: "We should very much like to reprint the Preface to Pygmalion in our quarterly review 'God Speech.' We know that you attach more importance to the sequel, but it is the Preface, with its reference to the value of phonetics, that we think will be of most interest to our readers." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, intersecting folds, and a small tear to the left edge.
