Description

American lawyer (1927-1986) best known for being Senator Joseph McCarthy's chief counsel during the Army-McCarthy hearings in 1954 and for being Donald Trump's personal lawyer; he was disbarred by the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court for unethical conduct in 1986, and died five weeks later from AIDS-related complications. TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Curran, Mahoney, Cohn & Stim letterhead, August 4, 1954. Letter to a friend, in full: "I want you to know that I have read your letter, and that I very much appreciate your writing me as you did. The good wishes and encouragement of so many people throughout the country in this fight to stamp out atheistic Communist infiltration have been a source of great satisfaction to me. I hope you will continue to make known your views on public issues." In fine condition.
