Letter to Landon Carter Haynes, CSA Senator from Tennessee, in full: "In reply to your letter of the 24th inst. relative to the detail of Eli Beaver, I have the honor to say that the appreciation was returned to him on the 19th inst." In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, light soiling, and several small holes in blank areas.
