ALS signed “C. W. Nimitz,” one page, 8 x 10.5, Fleet Admiral letterhead, April 14, 1965. Letter to Ken Browne, in part: "Thank you for your letter of April 12-65. Am sorry you did not like my aide's acknowledgment of your birthday greetings & good wishes—so I say—here & now—thank you!…P.S. Having received more than 100 telegrams, 300 cards & about 100 letters you can imagine my task—and with failing eyesight. Next year—I hope for complete privacy, even from mail—CWN." In very good to fine condition, with some light creasing, and staple holes to the upper left corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Nimitz's hand.
