Letter to Mr. and Mrs. Brown, in part: "I appreciate your extreme interest in the space program and I hope you continue to support our work. I miss my part in the space flights but felt it necessary to retire to let other astronauts get a chance at space flight. My speed has slowed from 25,000 miles/hr to 12 miles/hr (tugboat) but the position is very interesting." In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the lower right corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
