ALS, one page, 8 x 10, personal letterhead, June 5, 1969. Letter to Ken Browne, in full: "Thank you for your 'John F. Kennedy' air letter of June 1. It was kind of you to write to me at this time. It is a long time since June 1944, but I remember those days well. Unfortunately the peace for which we fought has eluded us, and in my long life I have never known the world in such a disturbed state—and I see little hope of any progress towards a more peaceful world. Perhaps we should open up a new civilization on the moon!! Your nation has shown us all the way to get there." In fine condition, with light edge and corner creasing, and a staple hole at the upper left corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in his own hand.
