Partly-printed DS as president, signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 20.75 x 15.75, August 3, 1911. President Taft appoints Justin Frank Seiler "to be a Notary Public for the District of Columbia." Boldly signed at the conclusion by President Taft and countersigned by Acting Secretary of State Ernest Knaebel. The dark red embossed Department of Justice seal affixed to the lower left remains fully intact. In very good to fine condition, with staining and chipping to the edges, and some brushing to the signature.
