DS, signed “George R.,” one page both sides, 8 x 12.5, November 17, 1786. King George approves to "pay unto Robert Anderson the Sum of Five Shillings a day for his Half pay as Surgeon to Our Forces in the East Indies." Signed prominently in the upper left corner by the king. In very good condition, with toning, paper loss at the edges, and small old tape repairs to some short tears and fold splits. Accompanied by an engraved portrait of King George III.
