Transparent green vinyl record of Nirvana's third studio album In Utero, signed on 'side one' in blue felt tip, "Kurdt," "Chris," and "Dave." In fine condition. Following the breakthrough success of their second full-length album Nevermind, Nirvana released the highly anticipated In Utero in late September of 1993; the record quickly made its way to the top of the Billboard charts and has since sold 15 million albums worldwide. Albums signed by these grunge and alternative rock heroes remain incredibly rare, with this 'clear' In Utero record heightened by both its uncommon format and incredible display value.
Brennan first met Nirvana in January 1992, in the lobby of NBC when they were at the Thursday music rehearsal for a “Saturday Night Live” performance. After that, he flew to Seattle six times to see Nirvana, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. He followed them before they were famous: “I just knew.” He met them a total of 8-12 times. “In just under two years, it was all over.” He followed them all of 1992 and ‘93. Drummer Dave Grohl is seen wearing a “Secret Sounds” t-shirt on the album cover for “Muddy Banks of Wishkah,” which Brennan gave him. “Dave was always difficult to deal with; Kurt was the easy one.” From The John Brennan In-person Autograph Collection.
