Inventor and automotive magnate (1864-1950) who founded the Oldsmobile and REO Motor Car Companies. Partly-printed DS, signed “R. E. Olds,” one page, 12.75 x 8.5, January 10, 1916. Certificate for 25 shares of the REO Motor Car Company issued to Albion N. Springer, signed at the bottom by Olds as the company's president. The certificate bears a highly attractive vignette featuring the REO 'wings' logo with female figures. In fine condition, with an "R"-shaped cancellation hole to the first letter of his last name.
