Description

ALS, one page, 4.25 x 6.5, Gad's Hill Place letterhead, December 11, 1864. Letter to English lawyer and antiquary Frederic Ouvry, in full: "I omitted to send you the enclose quarterly cheque before leaving the office yesterday." Nicely double-matted and framed with a portrait to an overall size of 15.75 x 12.25. In fine condition, with a heavy vertical fold. Ouvry acted for Dickens in his separation from his wife Catherine, and Dickens portrayed Ouvry as 'Mr. Undery' in Household Words.
