Description

AQS on an off-white 5.25 x 8.25 sheet, neatly signed at the conclusion, "William Cullen Bryant, Copied February 10th, 1874." Bryant pens two stanzas from his poem 'The Past,' beginning: "They have not perished—no! / Kind words, remembered voices, once so sweet, / Smiles, radiant long ago, / And features, the great soul's apparent seat." In fine condition, with a faint circular area of toning.
