American record producer and founder of Sun Records and Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee (1923-2003) who produced records by Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and Howlin' Wolf, and was instrumental in launching Presley's career in 1954. Off-white Stratocaster-style pickguard signed in black felt tip by Sam Phillips. In very good to fine condition, with uneven toning from prior display. Accompanied by a yellow guitar pick from Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.
