Two items: an early DS, signed "Wm. H. Taft," one page, 7 x 3, being a 'series of 1878' Distillery Warehouse Stamp certificate issued by Taft as collector; and a TLS signed "Wm. H. Taft," one page, 8 x 10.5, personal letterhead, July 30, 1920, replying to an autograph request. In overall fine condition, with offsetting of the signature on the letter from premature folding. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the letter.
