In part: "I doubt if you ever interested yourself in a nobler and more useful undertaking, than the effort to raise an endowment fund for Washington and Lee University. It has traditions and opportunities to do good that ought to command this enterprise to any American who is about to further the nation's welfare." In fine condition.
