Scandinavian Royalty: King Gustaf Adolf VI and Queen Louise, daughter of Charles XV of Sweden and spouse of Frederick VIII of Denmark.
Two items:
1. King Gustaf Adolf VI: DS, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, November 24, 1961, conferring the Swedish vice-consul at Falmouth, Mr. Philip Hamilton Fox, signed above the crisply embossed paper seal in blue ballpoint by King Gustaf Adolf VI. Accompanied by a complete translation in French.
2. Queen Louise: an untranslated ALS in Swedish and German, signed "Louise," three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4 x 5.25, no date, addressed to the Prime Minister and Duc of Norway advising him to take a neutral stance in the event that the current difficulties between France and England escalate into war. Accompanied by an original unpublished tintype of Louise from the 1860s.
