Vintage glossy 8 x 10 close-up photo of the legendary fighter ace, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint, "To Ken Browne, From Pappy Boyington.” Reverse bears a MCAS Miramar stamp, as well as a typed collector's notation indicating that it was signed in 1957. In very good to fine condition, with scattered creasing and surface impressions, and the area behind the signature rubbed by Boyington prior to signing in order for the ink to adhere. Accompanied by a handwritten transmittal letter from his wife, Fran Boyington.
