Brownell, in part, “Needless to say, Donn, Walt and I are pleased to have been designated as crew members for our first Apollo flight and we are grateful for your good wishes for the successful completion of this mission. I am returning the banner as, regretfully, I cannot carry it with me on the flight. We receive thousands of requests from all over the world similar to yours and I am sure you can understand the impossibility of granting such requests"; and a color semi-glossy 8 x 10 photo of Cunningham donning a glove in preparation for the Apollo 7 mission, signed in blue felt tip, "Walt Cunningham." In overall fine condition.
