Roger Daltrey's stage-used Shure Beta 58A vocal microphone, used during his 2011 'Tommy' solo tour of the UK, signed on the black gaffer tape in silver ink, "Roger Daltrey, Tommy UK 2011," with a kiss, "X," at the end of the wrap. The microphone was hard-wired by Shure for Daltrey so that it could withstand abuse on stage; Daltrey's microphone technician always gaffer-taped the lead to the body for additional safety. In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by The Who's co-manager Robert Rosenberg on Trinifold Management letterhead, certifying that "this microphone is signed by Roger Daltrey and was used by him during his Tommy U.K. tour, 2011." Also includes a color glossy 8 x 10 photo of The Who, beautifully signed in blue felt tip by Daltrey. The Shure SM58 has been Daltrey's microphone of choice for many years; the Shure Beta 58A is a slightly 'improved' version of their classic offering. Daltrey's 2011 'Tommy' tour, during which he performed The Who's iconic rock opera, covered only 15 venues, and he agreed to sell off some of the stage-used microphones for charity. A superb stage-used mic from a legendary rock signer.
