American artist (1867-1944) whose distinctive 'Gibson Girl' illustrations defined the image of American women at the turn of the 20th century. ALS signed “C. D. Gibson,” one page, 11 x 8.5, Seven Hundred Acre Island letterhead, no date. Letter to Mr. LeMonte, in full: "I receiv'd your letter and the next time I am in your neighborhood I will stop in. With all good wishes." In fine condition. Collector's pencil notations to lower border could be erased or matted out if so desired.
