Signed and inscribed on a free end page in fountain pen, "Lyndon B. Johnson," and signed and inscribed in black ink below, "For Richard and Grace Adams—with much appreciation of your generous part in the creation of the LBJ Memorial Grove—and grateful memories of this special day, Lady Bird Johnson, May 2, 1976." In fine condition, with a crease to the front dust jacket flap, and light paperclip impression to the front of the dust jacket. Accompanied by a typed note from Lady Bird, dated May 2, 1976, in part: "Some years ago Lyndon put his hand to a few of these books, and I have been saving them for a special occasion. None could be more meaningful to me than this 'Last Round-up' benefit for the Memorial Grove, and because of your generous part in it, I wanted you to have one." Also includes a deerskin bookmark from the LBJ Ranch, impressed with an image of the ranch and a facsimile signature of Lady Bird Johnson.
