Letter to Oxford philologist Max Muller, in part: "The bearer Mr. Charles James Lyell of Balliol College is my cousin & has attended your lectures at the Royal Institution & studied your book. He is desirous of making your acquaintance & I have offered to give him this introduction." In fine condition.
