Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 18 x 14, February 27, 1922. President Harding appoints Arthur R. Merritt as a "Postmaster at Egypt, in the County of Plymouth, State of Massachusetts." Signed at the conclusion by Harding, and countersigned by Postmaster General William H. Hays. Lower left embossed with the Post Office Department stamp. Rolled and in very good to fine condition, with edge toning and light creasing, and some mounting remnants on the reverse.
