Description

FBI agent and archetypical ‘G-Man’ (1903-1960) responsible for the capture of John Dillinger, ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd, ‘Baby Face’ Nelson, and other notorious gangsters. Bank check, 8.25 x 3, filled out and signed by Purvis, “Melvin H. Purvis,” payable to Atkinson Cotton Co. for $10.35, October 1, 1941. In fine condition, with expected holes and a central vertical fold. Accompanied by another bank check filled out and signed by his wife, Rosanne Willcox Purvis.
