Partly-printed DS, signed “George R. I.,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 8.25 x 13.25, March 10, 1922. King George grants George Hollngsworth Hughes license "to wear the Insignia of Commander of the Order of the Nile," conferred unto him by "His Highness the Sultan of Egypt." Signed at the top of the first page by King George. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original transmittal letter issuing the commission, dated June 19, 1922, as well as five other official warrants relating to Hughes's appointment as a Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, dated between May and December 1927.
