Description

DS, two pages, 8.5 x 11, January 14, 1956. Agreement between Serling and Loew's Incorprated, in which the former agrees to return to MGM Studios to render the second week of his services "in connection with changes, revisions and/or additions requested…in connection with the first-draft screenplay of '52 Miles to Terror' (formerly entitled 'The Red Car')." Signed at the conclusion in ballpoint by Serling. In fine condition, with several staple holes to the top. Based on a short story by Alex Gaby, the '52 Miles to Terror' script by Serling was ultimately scrapped by MGM; the Gaby story was adapted by Robert E. Kent in 1967 under the title Hot Rods to Hell, which centered around drag-racing teenagers who terrorize an average American family traveling across the desert.
