Snyder.” Framed and in fine condition, with a small stain to the slightly faded image. Appointed by Truman, Georgia Neese Clark served as the treasurer of the United States from 1949 to 1953, the first woman to hold the position; she married Andrew J. Gray, a journalist and press agent, in 1953. Snyder served as secretary of the Treasury under Truman.
