ALS, one page both sides, 5 x 8, October 24, 1862. Letter to F. N. Blood of New Hampshire concerning a real estate transaction. In part: “I met Colo. Tappen a day or two since who apologized for not having sent the deed of the land for which I paid him…more than 18 mos ago & said ‘I cannot describe the land, but if Mr. Blood will make out a quitclaim deed & send it to me, I will cause it to be executed’…Henry can give you the description of the land to be quitclaimed.” In fine condition.
