JFK appoints an "Examiner-in-Chief" at the United States Patent Office

Rare partly-printed DS as president, one page, 19.5 x 15.5, June 14, 1961. President Kennedy appoints Arthur W. Crocker of Maryland as "Examiner-in-Chief, United States Patent Office." Signed at the conclusion by Kennedy, and countersigned by Secretary of Commerce Luther H. Hodges. Brilliant silver Department of Commerce seal with purple ribbon remains fully affixed to lower left. Framed and in fine condition. An unusual presidential commission and the first such Kennedy-signed 'commerce' appointment we have ever offered.
