TLS as president, one page, 7 x 8.75, White House letterhead, January 20, 1934. Letter to Governor C. D. Buck of Delaware, in full: "I have received your telegram of January nineteenth regarding the continuation of the Civil Works program. Thank you very much for your kindness in wiring me." In fine condition, with two partial rusty paperclip marks. The Civil Works Administration—a job creation program established as part of the New Deal—ended on March 31, 1934.
