Satin-finish 3 x 4 portrait of Diana by Patrick Demarchelier, affixed to its original 3.75 x 5.25 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in fountain pen, "Dearest Lizanne, lots of love from, Diana x.” Displayed in its beautiful original 5.5 x 7.75 leather presentation frame emblazoned with a gold "D" surmounted by a crown at the top. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original transmittal letter on St. James's Palace letterhead from Diana's personal assistant Victoria Mendham, dated October 4, 1996, as well as the original box. Patrick Demarchelier became the first non-British photographer of the royal family when he was named Princess Diana's official photographer at her personal request in 1989. He captured many of her most iconic portraits, including the covers for British Vogue published in 1991, 1994, and 1997. An absolutely gorgeous display with a warm inscription from the legendary Princess Diana.
